Test Yourself
In the same manner that you get a physical checkup, get a spiritual checkup. Is spiritual growth evident in your life? Do you hear God's voice? Is Christ's presence and Power in your life? If not, start taking active steps to grow closer to God before it's too late.
Stay Focused on and yoked to Jesus
"Let your eyes look right on, and let your eyelids look straight before you (Proverbs 4:25 KJV) As born-again believers in Jesus Christ, our faith must exclusively be in Jesus Christ and what He did on the Cross for us. Not in our religious practices. Jesus' crucifixion on the Cross is what reconciled us back to God. " For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son l, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16 KJV). Continue in God's Word. Jesus is the Word (John1:1KJV) If our trust does not remain in Christ Jesus we lose connection.
Remain in the Vine
Jesus said He is the True Vine, and His Father is the Husbandman (John 15:1 KJV) Jesus is the source of our life. 'In Him we live, and move, and have our being (Acts 17:28 KJV). We must get plugged in and remain plugged into Him. The Vine. That's where the connection is. In Christ Jesus. God is the One Who prunes. He cuts the fruitless dead branches that are not rooted in Him, (Christians that are not anchored in Christ), and purges (nurtures) the ones that are. God prunes in order that His fruitful branches bring forth more fruit (John 15:2).
Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand (Matthew 4:17 KJV)
Turn around! Change your mind and heart about anything that will pull you away from God. Change your purpose. Accept God's Will. Be obedient to His Word. "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do. (James 1:22-25 NIV)
Praise God
"Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary:
Praise him in the firmament of his power.
Praise him for his mighty acts:
Praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet:
Praise him with the psaltery and harp.
Praise him with the timbrel and dance:
Praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
Praise him upon the loud cymbals:
Praise him upon the high-sounding cymbals.
Let everything that hath breath
Praise the LORD. (Psalm 150 KJV)
Always praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Put it all in His hands. Have a blessed stress-free worry-free day on purpose and never stop believing Jesus paid it all.
Prayer
I pray in Jesus name that you never feel disconnected. I pray that you never lose hope. I pray that you believe wholeheartedly and remain in the Vine. In Jesus name. Amen!
