Are You in The Faith?

"Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV)

Examine Yourself

If we say that we love the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, we ought to be in the faith. I'm not talking about a surface religious work based faith. I'm speaking about a deep trust in God based faith that stems from a close knit relationship with Him. Notice that I said close knit, not perfect. Perfection cannot be attained in self, only in Christ Jesus. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [ not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV) " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17 KJV) Have faith in God "....without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 KJV)

Seek Him with Your whole Heart

Are You Certain that You're Born Again??

We must pass the test. But, before the test, and before Heaven, one must be born again. Jesus said "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. "....Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:3,5 KJV) You didn't come this far to fail to pass the test. It's not a competition, but it is a race. "...... the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. (Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV) That means there is a time and a chance for everyone whosoever will believe.

99 1/2 Just Won't D0

Take the time to seek God with your whole heart. When the Holy Spirit reveals God to you, live your life for Him. A life lived for God through trust in Him and believing in His Son Jesus Christ is the only sure thing in this life, 99 1/2 % of belief won't due.

Remain in The Vine

The only way we'll make it to heaven, and abide in God's love is to remain in the vine. Jesus said, "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. (John 15:1-10 KJV)
