Don't Just Hear...Listen

"So then Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God ( Romans 10:17 KJV) Don't just hear- Listen carefully.

Hearing is a physical cognitive function of the part of the body called the ear. However, listening takes intentional focus on that which is heard. It involves both the mind and body. There are 3 types of voices lobbying for our attention. The voice of God, the devil's voice, and the voice of self.

The Voice of God

God is not anxious about our next steps, we are. God's voice will always coincide with His Word. He will never contradict Himself or change His mind. If the voice youre hearing is cauising confusion, anxiety, impatience and the like, it is not the voice of God. "For God is not the Author of confusion, but of peace..(1 corinthians 14:33 KJV) In fact,God says don't worry about anything, but to pray about everything with thanksgiving letting your requests be made know to Him. And the sanctifying peace of God will surpass our human understanding through our faith in what Jesus did at/on the Cross (Philippians 4:6-7 KJV).

The Voice of Satan

Satan is a deceiver. He came to kill, steal and destroy...(Joh 10:10 KJV) Everything he says or will ever say is a lie. He comes to kill your relationship with the Son of God (Jesus), steal your right to become a joint hier with Jesus, and ultimately, destroy your soul in Hell. He is a snake. The Word of God tells in Revelation 12:9 "..And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan. He chose in the Garden of Eden to work through a snake. As he was then so he is still; the "old Serpent. So, be careful who's voice it is you're listening to. There's nothing peaceful about satan.

The Voice Of Self

It's the never ending stream of silent speech that self regulates and motivates ones belief about him/herself and how he/she behaves. Maladaptive self talk can sabatoge ones whole perspective because of bad past experiences, unaddressed trauma, unforgiveness, strongholds, and other people's opinions. Self sabotage. If self sabotage becomes an issue, encourage yourself in the Lord. The Word of God says in 1 Samuel 30:6 KJV "...David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

We all have low points in our life, but we don't have to stay there. ".....We are fearfully and wonderfully made....Psalm 139:14 KJV. God made us that way. There is nothing we can not do or come through with God. (Prayer is key, but faith unlocks the door.) Keep praying to and praising God, and remember what He has already brought you/us through.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue ...(Proverbs118:21 KJV).

Sharpen Your Listining Skills

Gods Word says, "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the Earth. (Psalm 46:10 KJV). Ask God to open the eyes of your heart.

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8 KJV)

Praise God

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Have a blessed stress-free worry-free day on purpose and never stop believing Jesus paid it all.
