How Do You Define a Miracle?

Updated: Apr 11, 2020

A miracle is a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a  divine agency. Its a highly improbable or extraordinary event, development, or accomplishment that brings very welcome consequences. A miracle is ultimately, an amazing achievement; an outstanding example of something. How else would you define a miracle, except the birth of Jesus.

Jesus Is A Miracle

Jesus is the living Word of God. He has always existed. He is the Creator and sustainer of all things (John 1:1). Jesus is eternal life. His birth by way of the the virgin Mary proved that it was nothing man had done. Jesus came through forty two (42) generations to present Himself as the perfect man. ....A Lamb without spot or blemish (1 Peter 1;19). He healed the sick, raised the dead, and feed five thousand plus people with two (2) fish and five (5) loaves of bread. Everything He did and does is a miracle. 'But despite all the miraculous signs Jesus had done, most of the people still did not believe in him (John 12:37).

More Miracles To Come

We as believes wait on the Lord's return, however the miraculous rapture will catch some by surprise. But 'It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed (1 Corinthians 15:52). The stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory (Mark 13:25-26). To hold fast to your faith and make the rapture is a miracle. And there will still be more to see. 'A new Heaven and a new earth, the Holy city; the New Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, prepared as a beautiful bride dressed for her husband (Revelation 21:1-2). And there will be still more to see. God will show us (believers) a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, there will be the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, which will yield her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. We shall see His face, and His name will be written on our foreheads (Revelations 22:1-2,4). It is amazing what God has done. Jesus return is a Work of His Divinity; an extraordinary event. A miracle.
