Be Merciful
The Word of God reminds us to do good to those who hate us and to pray for those who mistreat us. 6:27-28. This might sound crazy; I mean why would anyone treat someone who hates them with love and mercy? The answer to the question is, because it's God's Salvation plan. His love would not have us do otherwise. We can love others because He first loved us. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life. John 3:16 CEB Jesus Christ is God's full expression of the love and plans He has for us. God wants us to be reconciled back to Him; to be reunited. In showing love to those who hurt or mistreat you, you are showing others the character of God shining through you because of what Jesus did for us. Jesus said, "....if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. John 12:32 KJV Let God's love light shine so brightly through you that others may find their way out of darkness.
