Live Today for Eternity

"Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. (Psalm 119:1 KJV) "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 17:3)

Walk in the law of the Lord

God's Word [Holy Bible] holds the precepts to life. His Word provides wisdom and understanding for all that we go through in this life as well as points us to Jesus. His Word is a guide for living. When we walk in the way of the Lord we please God. He blesses, protects, and comforts us on this side of Heaven, while giving use strength to endure the journey to our souls' expected end. God said, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11 KJV). When we walk in the way of the Lord we build a relationship with God which brings joy, peace, praises, and gladness. It is comforting to know that God loves us so much that He would endow us with the blessings of His salvation plan (Eternal Life) through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Get to Know the Only true God

The only way to know God is through His Son Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17) God said, ".....This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Matthew 3:17 KJV) Jesus came to earth to show us how to live and love one another. All of our sin was laid upon Him at His Crucifixion. "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all (Isaiah 53:4-6 KJV). Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30). All we need is faith, trust, and total commitment to Him. He said His yoke is easy and His burden light. His main precept is, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew 22:37-40 KJV). The only way to everlasting life with God is through Jesus (John 3:16). He said "....I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6 KJV)

Receive Eternal Life

To receive eternal life, one has to be born again. Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God....... Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (John 3:3,5-6) It is a work of the Holy Spirit. God's Holy Spirit gives us the power to receive eternal life and to do what He asks of us. He will carry us through.

God Keeps His Promises

"This is the promise which He Himself promised us—eternal life. (1 John 2:25 KJV) God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfill it?( Numbers 23:19 AMP) Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:1-3 KJV) Believe in God's promises. Believe in His gift to the world [Jesus] and what He has done on the Cross for us. Walk by faith not by site. Humbly enter into an intimate relationship with Him, and continue in His Word and Way. The Holy Spirit will teach you all things (John 14:26)

Jesus is Coming Back

He said, "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. ... Surely I come quickly.(Revelation 22:12-13,20)

Praise God

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Put it all in His hands. Have a blessed stress-free worry-free day on purpose, and never stop believing Jesus paid it all.
