"Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root ( Luke 8:13).
Spend time in/with God's Word daily in order to gain wisdom, understanding, and depth. Get rooted Jesus said, "Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me (John 15:4).
Get Rooted
Don't let the cares of this world choke your growth. Spending time with/in God's Word is a necessity. There are many things lobbying for our attention. Without the root it will be difficult to stand. One cannot serve God and the world (Matthew 6:24). If the devil can't hinder you with difficulties, he'll choke you with distractions.
You Are The Salt
If we, as believers in Christ Jesus, are too much like the world, we are worthless. Salt brings out the best in food, as we are to bring out the best in the people around us (Matthew 5:13). Repent and turn back to God. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness(1 John 1:9).
