Who Are The Blessed?

To be blessed is to be divinely or supremely favored; fortunate. It is to be described as something or someone that you think is wonderful, and that you are grateful for or relieved about. Who does God consider the blessed to be?

Who Are The Blessed?

"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you (Mathew 5:3:12)

The blessed in the eyes of God are those who are conscious of their moral poverty. Those who are grieved because of personal sinfulness. The humble are called blessed. Blessed people are they who have an intense desire to be approved by God, not man. They place all of their worth in Christ Jesus. The blessed care for others without a second thought. They are born again believers who's spirits have been regenerated by the Spirit of God. Those who have made peace with God. The blessed suffer persecution because they trust in God. You are blessed when you suffer in Jesus name. Rejoice!

Be Blessed!
