The Human Heart; Its Not Just an Organ

The heart is a muscular organ enclosed in a protective sac, made up of three layers: the epicardium, myocardium, and endocardium. The epicardium contains the heart and the roots; the myocardium forms a thick middle layer between the outer and inner layer of the heart wall, and the endocardium is the innermost layer of tissue that lines the chambers of the heart. Together, they work to provide nourishment by circulating the blood which helps in fighting diseases, stabilizing temperature and pH, maintaining homeostasis, and waste removal.

Its Not Just an Organ; It's the Person

The human heart is not just an organ. It is the person in relation to the Godhead with the Father being the Epicardium, who all life is rooted in, Jesus being the Myocardium, who is the mediator between us and God, and the Holy Spirit being the Endocardium, who dwells in the inner most chambers; there to lead, guide and cleanse man from sin, if man wills.

Mind, Body, and Soul Connection

The body is the heart of God. The heart is where the mind and soul connect. The heart keeps the soul longing for God, and the mind delegates instruction. It is where the unconscious, subconscious, conscious thoughts, images, beliefs, and feelings are, plus the will and conscience: an inner feeling or voice viewed as acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one's behavior. All of life flows from the heart. The Bible tells us to "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).

What Are The Issues of Life?

The issues of life are how one feels, acts, and relates to others. All of the human affections stem from the heart: love, hate, envy, lust jealousy, anger, fear, joy, happiness and the like. The heart is the whole person; his beliefs, images, and things that he's encountered, learned, and adopted. All of the issues in a man's heart will come out of his mouth. "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bring forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bring forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks (Luke 6:45). If the heart is not healthy, the man dies both physically and spiritually. An unhealthy heart cannot eliminate waste. This is why we pray "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10).

God Gave His Heart

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you (John 14:18).

God Gave You His Heart, Will You Give Him Yours.
