Change Your Thoughts Change Your Life

Our thought processes play a huge role in our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Thinking allows us to make sense of our experiences, and to make predictions about those experiences. It helps us with needs, objectives, and desires as it makes plans or otherwise attempts to accomplish them.

Conscious and Unconscious Thoughts

We are not always mindful of our thinking, because whatever we perceive becomes a thought. While our conscious thought processes organize, identify, and interpret sensory information to accomplish the tasks at hand, our unconscious thought conversations continue. Our thoughts are not always positive.

Positive vs Negative Thinking

It is normal to have positive and negative thoughts, and internal conversations about them. However, we can learn to better identify the negative thoughts, so that we may start answering them back with rational arguments before they effect our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

"For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he...(Proverbs 23:7)"

Renew The Mind.

Our minds can be trained to examine, and identify the negative thoughts therein. As we learn to identify our negative thinking, we can then learn how to start answering them back in order to dismiss them.

Instead of saying “I'm worthless,” say, “I'm having the thought that I'm a worthless.” Instead of saying, “I'll never get it right,” say “I'm having the thought that I'll never get it right.” The difference may help you gain the perspective that you are not your thoughts.

Take it to the Lord in Prayer

Take time to pray and meditate on God's Word. Ask the Lord to order your steps in His Word: and let not your iniquity have dominion over you (Psalm 119:133). Make your thoughts and attitude that of Christ's. Empty your self.

let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philipians 2:5). Believe and have the Faith in the Word; cause your conduct (thoughts) to harmonize with the Word of God. He knows the thoughts that he has towards you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil,to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11).

Give God a try. If you give a sincere attempt to follow His Ways, Word, and principles, peace will follow. Your life can be changed.

Be Encouraged.
