Women You Too May Draw from the Well

"There is cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, how is it that thou, being a Jew, asks drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, if thou knew the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, give me to drink; thou would have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, whosoever drink of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drink of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw (John 4:7-15).

Women You Too May Draw from the Well

Women, we don't have to die of thirst. We spend all of our resources i.e. physical, mental, financial, spiritual, economic. And the list goes on. We are the Dr's, lawyers, Teachers, Preachers, Chefs, Baby bearing, everything to everybody people. Jesus told the woman at the well that ' if thou knew the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, give me to drink; thou would have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water (John4:10). So then why are we so thirsty? That is, why are we so drained to the point of a thousand deaths. We also have the right to drink. There is no partiality with God (Romans 2:11). He loves all women. Jesus died for all of mankind. No matter our ethnicity, background, character, or what we have done and may be currently doing. Back to this woman. Jesus went on to ask the woman or rather told her to go get her husband (John 4:16). She was asking for water from another man and without permission from her current husband. The first thing she did was tell the truth about herself, which is what many of us don't do. Why? I don't know Maybe we like appearing to others as super women or maybe we want to keep our secrets to ourselves. I believe that once he told her who He was she believed because first she was tired and second, He told her the whole truth about her.

Ask God

You don't have to stretch yourself so thine to the point of death. God is able to do way more than we ask of Him (Ephesians 3:20). "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17). He gave His Life for us. There is so much more. Jesus said 'whosoever drink of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drink of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:13-14). There are no droughts in the body of Christ. Have faith in God's free gift. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Put it all in His hands. Have a blessed stress-free worry-free day on purpose and never stop believing Jesus paid it all. Trust God. Trust the process. Jesus said "..I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened (Luke 11:9-10).

All We Need is Faith

Have faith. "But without faith itis impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). We only need faith the size of a mustard seed. Jesus said '“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches (Mathew 13:31-32).
