Woe to the Shepherds

"And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God to the shepherds: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks? You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them. So, they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food for all the beasts of the field when they were scattered (Ezekiel 34:1-5) "Therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them (Ezekiel 34:9-10) "For thus says the Lord God: “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day (Ezekiel 34:11-12).

God's Flocks Shall No Longer Be Food for You

Any leaders who desire to feed themselves, will be removed. They will also be held responsible for what happens to those they lead astray. The focus of true leadership is to help others, not the other way around. "And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ (Matthew 25:40).

God Will Seek Out His Scattered Sheep

When leaders fail to tend to God's children properly; deliberately scattering God's sheep, God will take over. Evil is everywhere, yet God is able to turn dark situations around for His purpose. For the children of God who find themselves scattered in a wilderness, due to heirling leadership, be not dismayed. God knows exactly where you are. All one has to do is cry out to Him for help, which can be done even in the wilderness. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Trust and worship God." And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord [Jesus]Christ. (Colossians 3:23-24). God can and will take us from suffering to Glory.
