Wisdom Begets Wisdom

"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding (Proverbs 4:7)

Get Wisdom Get Understanding

Wisdom is the soundness of an action or decision with regard to the application of experience, knowledge, and good judgment. We learn from experience the outcome of making good and or bad choices. The best thing about Wisdom is Wisdom herself; good sense is more important than anything else. Get wise friends. Wise friends help you to attack any unproductive thoughts when it comes to making wise decisions. Wise friends will also help you not to attack yourself and or others. To admit we need advice takes humility. Get wisdom get understanding. When knowledge speaks, wisdom listens.

Wise Friends Make Wise Friends

"There are persons for companionship, but then there are friends who are more loyal than family (Proverbs 18:24). Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend (Proverbs 27:17). Mental sharpness comes from being around people who are mentally sharp. Wisdom begets wisdom. Wise friends help you to understand how to apply the knowledge; facts, information, and skills you acquired through experience or education. Wise friends help you to face life's challenges and move you forward and past the urge to take shortcuts. Ask God to reveal wise friends who will advise you how to apply wisdom.

Wisdom Challenges You

Wisdom challenges you to take the narrow road, not the most attractive. "There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (Proverbs 14:12). Jesus is Wisdom. He says, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that lead to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which lead unto life, and few there be that find it (Mathew 7:13-14). There are no shortcuts to the Kingdom of Heaven. Allow God's Holy Spirit to give you the quality of mind and spirit that will enable you to face difficult decisions without fear.
