Hold On to Your Measure of Faith

".......God has dealt to every man a measure of Faith (Romans 12:3)

What is Faith?

"Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses] (Hebrews 11:1). Everyone is given measure of faith. It is by the grace of God when our faith is in Him. The kind of faith that God requires is a complete trust and confidence in His Word. A type of faith placed within us upon conversion, which purpose is designed for service to God. So, faith is a positive declaration of hope in the promises of God. It is an understanding and trust in the spiritual unseen things of God. "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6).

Hold On to Your Measure of Faith

There is a great deal of things in this world that one may put his faith in. Unfortunately, putting one's faith in anything other than Jesus Christ and Him crucified is pointless. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17). We must have faith in Him. Without faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross it is impossible to walk with God. We must first believe that He exists, and that He rewards those who earnestly and diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). It only takes a measure of faith. In the book of Matthew, chp. 17:20, Jesus tells us that if we have faith, even the size of a mustard seed, we could move mountains, and that there would be nothing impossible when we believe and put our trust in the power of God. "Jesus said, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me (John 14:6).
