God Has not forgotten You. He will make them Remember You

Updated: Aug 1, 2023

"And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days: yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou was his butler. But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house (Genesis 40:12-14 KJV) "Yet [even after all that] the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot [all about] him (Genesis 40:23 AMP).Then spoke the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day: Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker: and we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream. And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret. And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged. Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh. (Genesis 41:9-14 KJV)

Always Make Yourself Available

"Don’t withhold good from someone who deserves it, when it is in your power to do so (Proverbs 3:27). We are all in this together. We are all trying to figure this thing called life out. Sometimes we get it right other times we fail. However, what we don't do is glory in each others sufferings. Remember, ".. all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23 KJV). "If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part gets the glory, all the parts celebrate with it (1 Corinthians 12:26). That goes for everyone and everything. Joseph, the baker, and the cup bearer were all prisoners because of offenses or perceived offenses against Pharaoh. Yet Joseph was not self absorbed he instead saw the grief and despair in his prison mates. He thought about how he could help them which is what we are supposed to do. Let us help one another. We are not Islands. We need one another. We are all part of one whole "Don’t do anything for selfish purposes, but with humility think of others as better than yourselves (Philippians 2:3).

Share what God has Given You

God has given you a gift and a promise. "By His divine power the Lord has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of the One Who called us by His own honor and glory. Through His honor and glory He has given us His precious and wonderful promises, that you may share the divine nature and escape from the world’s immorality that sinful craving produces. This is why you must make every effort to add moral excellence to your faith; and to moral excellence, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, endurance; and to endurance, godliness; and to godliness, affection for others; and to affection for others, love. If all these are yours and they are growing in you, they’ll keep you from becoming inactive and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:3-8). If you are sharing God's love and Divine nature with others, why would God not remember you?

God Has Not Forgotten You

Man may forget you but God will not. The scriptures tell us, "There’s no remembrance of things in the past, nor of things to come in the future. Neither will there be any remembrance among those who come along in the future (Ecclesiastics 1:11) However, God will not forget you. "God isn’t unjust so that he forgets your efforts and the love you have shown for his name’s sake when you served and continue to serve God’s holy people (Hebrews 6:10) God knows the things that His children do for Him. For His name's sake we share God's love and Divine nature with others. God gets the Glory from His-story. "Whatever you do, do it from the heart for the Lord and not for people (Colossians 3:23) God said, “....I will never leave you or abandon you” (Hebrews 13:5)

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16 KJV)
