Do You Want Beauty for Ashes?

"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations (Isaiah 61:1-4).

Present Yourself a Living Sacrifice

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17). God anointed Jesus to bind the broken hearted, comfort those who mourn, present to us His more excellent Way, deliver us from the burden of sin, present us faultless before His throne, and share His everlasting love and life that He may be Glorified (Isaiah 61:1-4). Adam's sin would've forever separated us from God, ..."... God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, {gave His only begotten Son} Christ {Who} died for us (Romans 5:8). No one in his best effort could present himself beautifully faultless before God's throne without Jesus. Jesus is the One Who, through our faith in Him and His finished Work on the Cross, accepts our ashes and turns them into beauty; "to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified (Isaiah 61:3).

Let Go and Let God

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:1-2). God's Mercy is not given by merit, it is just that God's Mercy. We can only have faith in Jesus which would allow God's Holy Spirit to change us from the inside out, that is our reasonable sacrifice. Meditate on, and believe in, the Word of God to keep your mind from trusting in the things of this world. "Every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord... (James 1:17). Believe and prove God's will to and for yourself.
