This Scripture poses the question, "What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? The soul is the spiritual or rather immaterial part of a human being regarded as immortal. It is the essence of man that lives forever and will spend eternity either in Heaven or Hell. The question reveals to us that we have a choice on where our soul spends eternity. That is, choose the world, or choose God's gift (John 3:16). Our choice is liberally a matter of life or death for everyone, not just the believer. So, the answer to the question is that there is nothing in this world more valuable than the human soul. That is, there is nothing that anyone can give in exchange for their soul. Nothing at all.
Time is Drawing Near
As the time draws near, even the strongest believers will have a hard time staying focused and or loyal. Jesus told His followers, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet (Matthew 24:4-6). Jesus is soon to return. “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father (Mark 13:32). If one chooses to save himself its everlasting punishment in Hell, or if he chooses to follow, and put his faith in, Christ Jesus and what He did on the Cross for us its Eternal life in Heaven. Both time in Heaven or Hell are forever and ever, without end. I will say it again, 'There shouldn't be anything in this world worth forfeiting your soul. To God there is absolutely nothing of more value that one can exchange for it.'
Remain Watchful
We must remain watchful, because the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2) Those who chose not to believe in Jesus Christ will begin to mourn they have no time then to repent. They will know they chose the wrong side. “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’ “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you; I don’t know you.’
“Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour (Mathew 25;1-13).
Don't Allow the Devil to Take Your Soul
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17). Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Put it all in His hands. have a blessed stress-free worry-free day on purpose, and never stop believing that Jesus paid it all. Never give up never give in.
