Are You at The Point Where You No Longer Care?

If your answer is yes, you may have become apathetic. Apathy is a lack of interest, enthusiasm, energy, or concern which comes about for many reasons. The more notable reasons are the goings on in the world. What I mean is the constant state of emergency at every level. The world's economy, health, and safety can best be described as helpless, hopeless, and barren. Crime of all sorts is at an all-time high with no end in sight. Lawlessness has become the norm wreaking havoc on our sense of safety, hope, and trust. And with the continued and constant polarization of governmental affairs it's no wonder why people care less. When all you hear and see is bad news, it is bound to affect our way of life and our way of thinking, which in turn effects our mental state, and spirit.

Get Your Peace-Loving Mind back

As Christians we know that our peace doesn't come from anything that this world can offer. We know that we can overcome becoming apathetic through the Lord who provides strength for us. We know that the peace that God gives doesn't focus on the absence of trouble, but on Christ Jesus Who rules in our hearts. Jesus said in the book of John 16:33 '....in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. His peace is the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding that will guard your hearts and minds through [Him] Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). So don't allow what's going in this world make you apathetic. “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace (Colossians3:16). "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6).
