Are You In a Loving Relationship?

A relationship is a state of being connected. The connection may be to a concept, object, or person. Love is an intense feeling of deep affection. This blog will address the different types of relationships with and between people. One should know what kind of relationship he is in at the start.

What Kind of Relationship Are You In?

There are different types of relationships. It doesn't take much to become inter-personally connected. Good relationships are developed over time. They are built on trust, dependence, honesty, love, and respect. A relationship can be family oriented, between friends, among acquaintances, or stem from romantic interest. One must know, and express to another, what kind of relationship he or she desires to build so that there is no confusion.

Let Love Abound

Love is the glue that holds relationships together. Just as there are different types of relationships, there are different kinds of love. There's Eros; romantic, Philia; affectionate, Philautia; self-love, Storge; familiar, Pragma; enduring, Ludus; playful, Mania; obsessive, more importantly, Agape; unconditional, love. Out of all of the kinds of love one may experience, God's Agape love outshines them all.

God's Agape Love

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). His Love is unconditional. How do you know that you love? Love gives life. It is written, "We know we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death (1 John 3:14). All the love you ever share should be built upon God's Agape love; His Word.

Connect with God. Do Love God's Way. Jesus is the Way, Truth, and Life (John 14:6).
