Man has been using the power of influence since the beginning of time. Influence is the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of an individual, group, or thing. A benefit is something that produces good helpful results, or effects; something that promotes well-being. Competence is only one factor of influence. Knowing how to perform, however, is not enough. One needs to have a benevolent love for all mankind. If you want the world to be a better place, use the powerful influence of love for the benefit of all mankind.
Love is The Universal Benefit for All Mankind
Love is a powerful influence. Man's love can make one do almost anything. However, man's love is flawed. One cannot always accept another's 'I love you', because one will love you today and hate you tomorrow. However, the world can accept, and needs, God's love. His love is the kind that benefits man, and keeps on giving eternally. "God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life (John 3:16).
Show, and Do, God's Love
If one is in Christ, he is a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17). He is someone who is able to show, and do, God's love. God's love is a self-less love, which seeks good for all mankind. God's.."love is patient, and kind. It isn’t jealous, doesn’t brag, and is not arrogant. It isn’t rude, doesn’t seek its own advantage, isn’t irritable, and will not keep a record of complaint. God's love seeks justice, and is happy with the truth. His love puts up with all things, trusts in all things, hopes for all things, endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Love is what love does.
