Death Could Not Hold Him

Jesus is the living Word of God. His Crucifixion on the Cross was a necessary means to redeem all of mankind, whosoever will. Jesus did this that the scriptures might be fulfilled (Psalm 69:21). However, we may take solace in knowing that this was not the end (1 Corinthians 15:4). When Jesus said it is finished, He was not speaking of the end of life but the beginning of Life Eternal. He fulfilled every inch of the Law, which paid our sin debt in full. Death could not hold Him.

Death Could Not Hold Him

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believe in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live (John 11:25). Jesus provided man a way of escape, He is the Way..(John 14:6). "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost (John 19:30). Jesus' Crucifixion fulfilled the Law (Psalm 69:21). "Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it (Acts 2:24).

This Is Your Comfort in Life And Death

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
