To feel is to perceive by touch, or to have a physical sensation of (something), not connected with sight, hearing, taste, or smell. To know is to perceive or understand as fact or truth; to apprehend clearly and with certainty. What happens when there is a battle between what you feel (emotions) and what you know (truth)?
Feeling (Emotions) Vs Knowing (Truth)
Feelings are subjective experiences of emotions. Emotions are autonomous bodily responses to certain external or internal events. The seven basic emotions are joy, surprise, fear, disgust, anger, contempt, and sadness. Knowing is to have, reflect, or indicate possession of exclusive inside knowledge or information. It is to be aware of the truth: a verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like; authentic. It is the body of real things, events, and facts: actuality. God designed our emotions, however, they are gauges not guides.
What Do You Do When There Is A Battle Between What You Feel (Emotions) And What you Know (Truth)?
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32).
