A Paper chaser is a person who is only interested in making money. Someone interested in just getting paid. Why chase money? "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows (1 Timothy 6:10). Don't be like the foolish rich man.
The Foolish Rich Man
"And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that lay up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God (Luke 12:16-21).
We Are Blessed To Be A Blessing
Anyone who loves gold and wealth, whether he be a believer or not, is in for a huge upset if he doesn't make wise choices. One may use his riches for self or God. We are blessed to be a blessing. Don't be foolish, money may buy many things however, there are some things money can't buy no matter how much one has, or spends. Besides, money isn't everything.
Money Isn't Everything
It can buy a bed - but not sleep
It can buy a clock - but not time
It can buy you a book - but not knowledge
It can buy you a position - but not respect
It can buy you medicine - but not health
It can buy you blood - but not life
Everything On Earth Is Temporal
"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also (Mathew 6:19-21). "...Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth (Luke 12:15).
