The Valley

The Valley

A valley is a low area between hills, or mountains, often with a river running through it. Your trials are valleys, the river running through it is the living Word; Jesus. When you are in the valley you are not alone, because Jesus is with you.

"Yea, though I [you] walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I [you] will fear no evil: for thou [Jesus] art with me [you]; thy [His] rod and thy [His] staff they comfort me [you] (Psalm 23:4).

The Shadow of Death

When one becomes a believer, the shadow of death is just that. A shadow is partial darkness or obscurity within a part of space from which rays from a source of light are cut off by an interposed opaque body. One cannot believe in part. Unbelief and disobedience is the sin that separates all men from God, and, often times, what cast shadows in the believers life. Sin cuts off the light of Jesus. When one believes and walks by faith, the powers of darkness have no power over him because Jesus is with him. Jesus is not only walking through with us, He keeps us from fearing while He fights off the powers of darkness for us. "For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you (Deuteronomy 20:4). All you have to do is believe and walk in faith.

God Loves Us!

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that - whosoever believeth in him - should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
