God Is Not A Genie In A Bottle

Genie is in a class of spirits, lower than the angels, capable of appearing in human and animal forms and influencing humankind for evil purposes. They can be any spirit; demon. In Islamic mythology they are known as the Jinn. The meaning of the Jinn is to hide or conceal; concealing its true nature, they are malevolent spirits residing in deserts and unclean places that come to do their own will. God is not a Genie (Jinn) in a bottle.

No Man Has Seen God

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him (John 1:1-5,18) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Jesus came not to do His own thing, but to do the will of His/Our Father. He said, "For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me (John 6:38). God is not a Genie (Jinn) in a bottle.

God Does Not Grant Wishes

God does not grant wishes. One cannot come to God with a self-righteous attitude. Man cannot demand the favor of God, belittle others, or declare all of his self works. Prayers like that go unanswered. "The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted (Luke 18:11-14).
