Independence Day

Independence is a state of being independent. It is being free from the control, or influence of things and others. Independence is having the freedom, and ability to make your own decisions in life, without having to ask other people for permission, help, or money. Moreover, it is being free from sin and trying to keep religious laws which are impossible to keep.

The Struggle

Man is unable to keep religious laws, because he was born in sin. The power of the passions of the sin nature dwells forever in his flesh. He is unable to be satisfied by man, or material things. The law will have dominion over a man as long as he tries to live by it. Man's sin nature will keep him in bondage. "You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it (Haggai 1:6).

"What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, if it had not been for the Law, I would not have recognized sin. For I would not have known [for example] about coveting [what belongs to another, and would have had no sense of guilt] if the Law had not [repeatedly] said, “You shall not covet.” (Romans 7:7)

The Fruits of Sin

"Now the practices of the sinful nature are clearly evident: they are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality (total irresponsibility, lack of self-control), idolatry [prostitution], sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions [that promote heresies], envy, drunkenness, riotous behavior, and other things like these.

I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

(Galatians 5:19-21)

The Fruit of the Spirit

But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23).

Are You Independent - Free?

When man tries to live life in a manner other than Faith in Christ and the Cross, he is not free and is doomed to fail. Two of the most powerful laws in the universe are the law of life and death, which we will experience the two. However, the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus is freedom from the Law of Sin and Death. It is a matter of where our soul rests; Eternal Life or Eternal death, Heaven or Hell. Only God can set man free from what rages inside of him [sin].

Jesus Christ is the Way..(John 14:6)

One doesn't have to wait until death to experience God's Grace and Mercy. If a man will repent and accept Jesus, he can be totally and surely set free from addiction, emotional breakdowns, overwhelming negative thoughts, poor relationships, scarce finances, or other strongholds; that so easily troubles him. More importantly, free from sin and Hell.

"So If the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free.(John 8:34-36). For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death (Romans 8:2).

Independent  and Unquestionably [Free] In Christ Jesus.

Walk in the Spirit and You Shall not fulfill the Lust of The Flesh (Galatians 5:16).
