Who Is A Genuine Leader?

A genuine leader is anyone who is willing to stand for change. They are advocates for all people, near and abroad. Genuine leaders seek the kind of change that transcends culture and time. He, or she, knows that time is an essence that should not be wasted on trivial things. Genuine leaders are not afraid to pray for God's will to be done. They are not ashamed to pray, both privately and publicly. Genuine leaders are spiritually connected to and with God, deliberately, on a regular basis.

To Be An Effectual Leader One Must Have A Prayer Life

Leaders should be concerned with what God thinks about a matter. As believers in Christ Jesus, our Lord, prayer should be a part of one's everyday life. "Pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Our prayers should be of thanksgiving, praise, and honor toward God for the sacrifice He made when He sent His Son, Jesus, to be crucified on the Cross for us. Leaders include all believers, as we have a duty to let our light shine for the Lord, no matter what. We are to be patient, diligent, and vigilant in prayer, because Satan will try and discourage us in order to keep us from praying. Satan does not want us to pray, because he knows that prayer changes things for the better. "Be clearheaded. Keep alert. Your accuser, the devil, is on the prowl like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8).

Leaders

Continue in prayer in order to obtain the wisdom, power, understanding, and courage to make known, by way of preaching and teaching, the mystery of Christ; (that which was previously hidden, but now has been made fully known) the Cross and what it means. "In God’s wisdom, he determined that the world wouldn’t come to know him through its wisdom. Instead, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of preaching. Jews ask for signs, and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, which is a scandal to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles. But to those who are called—both Jews and Greeks—Christ is God’s power and God’s wisdom. (1 Corinthians 1:21-24). Manifest Christ as He ought to be manifested. Leaders are to order their behavior, making use of every opportunity to present Christ to all mankind. Be humble and let your words be gracious.

Keep Praying

"Keep on praying and guard your prayers with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray for us also. Pray that God would open a door for the word so we can preach the secret plan of Christ—which is why I’m in chains. Pray that I might be able to make it as clear as I ought to when I preach. Act wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Your speech should always be gracious and sprinkled with insight so that you may know how to respond to every person (Colossians 4:2:6).
