Be Fishers Of Men

As believers of Christ, we ought to be fishing for souls. Our main concern should be to do God's will . Jesus said, "Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men (Mark 1:17). We are to forsake everything. Jesus said, "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. whosoever does not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple (Luke 14:26-27). Jesus over everything, and everyone.

Do You Love God More Than These?

Do you love me more than these, was the question that Jesus asked Peter? Peter adamantly said, oh yes Lord, I love You! And he probably meant well, but Jesus had to remind Peter how he previously denied Jesus three times. God knows beforehand our intentions, motives, and weaknesses. God wishes none to perish. "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Be Fishers Of Men

There are so many people in the world who don't have the luxury of having the Word preached to them. They don't know of God Who can pardon their sins. Anyone and everyone that we come in contact with is an opportunity for us as believers to witness for Jesus. Jesus said, "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few (Mathew 9:37). "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).

Tell Someone

"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15). Tell someone. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Tell someone that Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Mathew 11:28-30). Jesus said,"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hear My voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me (Revelation 3:20).
