Circumcision is the cutting off of the foreskin of males. Jews use circumcision as a religious rite. It is an outward sign of being set apart to God. What is the inward sign?
Circumcision is of the Heart, and Only God Can Do It
"There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understands, there is none that seek after God. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:10,11,23).
To be truly set apart to God one must know that circumcision is of the heart. "For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God (Romans 2:28-29).
What man does to the flesh can not heal his spirit. Only faith in Jesus can circumcise the heart. What He does in the spirit is everlasting. "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1)
