Life Is Short, So Be Mindful of How You Live Your Dash

July 14, 2019

Your dash is the time you have between your birth date and your death date. It is our life span which is shorter than we know (James 4:14). The first 10-12 years, more or less, of our dash is monitored or rather governed by our parents, caregivers, or older siblings. From the time one is able to make his own decisions he should be mindful of how he lives his dash. Live, Love, Laugh, even Cry, but whatever you do always keep God first.

Here Today Gone Tomorrow

We don't know what tomorrow will bring. We don't even know about when we will take our last breath. "Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away (Psalm 90;10). Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (Mathew 6:19-21, 31).
