When The Weight Of The World Is On Your Shoulders, Remember What Jesus Did.

When you are the go to person, everyone forgets that you need a go to. You answer every call, keep every secret, and are the intercessory person of prayer for everyone. So, who do you go to?

You Are God's Choice, But You Are Not God

You do the best that you can to help others, but often forget that you need help too. People will gladly load their cares onto your shoulders because you love the brethren with every fiber of your being, and you are a good listener. Only remember you are not God. Don't try and do what only God can, or else you will surely suffer burn out. Being the go to can get rough, and there will be times when you may want to throw in the towel. Go to's must be careful not to undermine God's Word. He gets all of the Glory from His story. Direct those who trust in you to God; be like Peter exclaiming, "...... Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk (Acts 3:6). Always remember, when you pray for others, to ask for strength to do God's will so not to be tempted to do your own. Remember what Jesus Did.

Remember What Jesus Did; He Prayed

"Jesus went out to the Mount of Olives, as he often did, and his disciples went with him. When they got there, he told them, “Pray that you won't be tested.” Jesus walked on a little way before he knelt down and prayed. Father, if you will, please don't make me suffer by drinking from this cup. But do what you want, and not what I want. Then an angel from heaven came to help him. Jesus was in great pain and prayed so sincerely that his sweat fell to the ground like drops of blood. Jesus got up from praying and went over to his disciples. They were asleep and worn out from being so sad. He said to them, “Why are you asleep? Wake up and pray that you won't be tested (Luke 22:39-46)."
