Too much Of Anything Temporal Is not Good
The world offers man everything that glitters. King Solomon had received all that his flesh desired, but to no avail as he stated, in the book of Ecclesiastes, 'All is vanity.' "And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labor: and this was my portion of all my labor. Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labor that I had labored to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun (Ecclesiastics 2:10-11). For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36).
Be Content With What You Have
Man is on a constant search for the temporal things, seeking more and more for what he doesn't have i.e. cars, fashion, money, and most currently - knowledge. Unfortunately, when man seeks the temporal things he finds them unsatisfying, which leads to depression, anxity, greed, covetousness, most of all lost. Through scripture however, we are commanded to be content with all we have in life. "For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Mathew 6:32-33).
God Will Provide God provides for all of His creation, much more for man. "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5). God offers the gift of Eternal Life through His Son's (Jesus) blood shed on the Cross (John 3:16). Jesus is the gift of life; living water that springs up in man like a well into eternal life, so that man thirst no more (John 4:14).
Its The Quality Of Life , Not The Quantity. Be Content. Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow
