Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. It affects how you feel, think and behave. If you are experiencing symptoms of depression, talk to someone you trust about how you feel. Depression is more than the blues. You don't have to go it alone. There is a myriad of help. Help includes family, friends, and or licensed professionals which includes Doctors, Pastors, Psychiatrists, Counselors, and Chaplains.
"The Lord Himself Goes before you and will be with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you: Do not be afraid, Do not be discouraged (Deuteronomy 31:8)."
If you have a loved one who is in danger of suicide or has made a suicide attempt, make sure someone stays with that person. Call 911 or your local emergency number immediately. Or, if you think you can do so safely, take the person to the nearest hospital emergency room.
