Don't Count Yourself Equal To God

"For there is not a just man on earth who does good. And does not sin. For many times, also, your own heart has known that even you have cursed others (Ecclesiastes 7:20,22).

When we judge people of not being the people we think they should be, we put ourselves in the position of God. "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death (Proverbs 14:12). This is a warning against religious conceit. We deceive ourselves when we become wise in our own eyes. Rigidness causes a loss of sensitivity to the true reason of doing good, which is to honor God. The Apostle Paul wrote, "For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. Now this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker of it with you (1 Corinthians 9:19-23).

The Goal Is to Point People to Christ

Our work is to share the love of God with whomever we come in contact with wherever we are. All of our resources, time and talents come from God to be used wisely. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Be constant in prayer, keep the faith, and continue to develop a relationship with Christ Jesus. He is the Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent way of life (John 14:6, Matthew 11:27).
